Fatty liver occurs when excess fat builds in the liver. It’s normal to have small amounts of fat, but too much is detrimental to your health. When fat accumulates in your liver, inflammation will soon follow. Inflammation then leads to liver damage and scarring. The scarring, in a worst-case scenario, can cause liver failure.<\/p>\n
